What You'll Do:


Under minimal supervision, responsible for all aspects of new product development involving conceptualization, concurrent engineering development, production implementation and post-launch support in a cross-functional team environment. Responsible for current product line extension and product improvement projects, managing multiple projects concurrently.



  • Designs cases, and other products from design concept through manufacture.
  • Manages multiple projects and leads efforts of cross function team members to release new products to production on time and on budget.
  • Develops appropriate test plans, test methods and analyzes and resolves quality assurance issues.
  • Recommends procedures that will result in cost savings, maximization of production, and quality improvement.
  • Act as liaison for the company with vendors and customers on various projects.
  • Actively supports Pelican's commitment to Quality and all quality objectives, with an emphasis on continual improvement.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.



What We're Looking For:



  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and/or minimum of 3-5 years of product design and project management experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of design and mechanical engineering concepts.
  • Resourceful and innovative in developing new product ideas and implementing product improvement projects.
  • Self-motivated result-oriented individual with a "can do" attitude.
  • Basic proficiency in 3D solid modeling CAD software.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The annual U.S. pay range for this positionis listed below. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills,and experience.
