Project Engineer (Assistant Project Manager)

Industrial Electrical Construction

What You'll Do


  • Support the Project Manager and jobsite leadership with daily project coordination and controls



  • Maintain and manage project control systems for the benefit of the project team



  • Create, update, and communicate CPM schedules



  • Assist with Last Planner / whiteboard crew scheduling



  • Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and site documentation



  • Analyze project data and support problem-solving and alternative execution strategies



  • Assist with estimating take-offs, cost analysis, and change order support



  • Participate in client meetings and collaborate with trade partners and subcontractors



  • Prepare materials for and participate in monthly project reviews



  • Support procurement and expediting of materials and subcontracted work



  • Promote and model Interstates' safety culture every day

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks



  • Willingness to adapt project systems and processes to drive successful outcomes



  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills



  • Comfortable interacting with clients, peers, and leadership




Education




  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Construction Management, or a related field




Travel & Location


  • Up to 25% travel to customer sites



  • Aberdeen, SD will serve as your home base
