Research Specialist

Project- COLEARN brings together community members and researchers in Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri to foster community-led projects that improve resilience to extreme weather events.

• Job duties -

• Represent the COLEARN project in our four-state region to develop new organizational partnerships
• Work with community partners to develop grant proposals
• Develop a region-wide partnership database to support communication and outreach efforts
• Design a regional outreach protocol for the team
• Lead one of our new research working groups focused on climate adaptation planning
• Lead a new research initiative focusing on municipal climate adaptation plans

Required degree- PhD

Required qualifications- Leading community engagement and community engaged research projects related to climate change, adaptation planning, or other related topic.

Work hours- M-F, some evenings and weekends possible.
