PATIENT AND VISITOR LIAISON - SURGICAL SERVICES Department: Administrative Support Schedule: 24 hours per week; Day Shift; Variable start time of 6:00am - 2:30pm or 8:00am - 4:40pm; no weekends; holidays as required. Hospital: Henry Ford Genesys Hospital Location: Grand Blanc, MI GENERAL SUMMARY Acts as a liaison between guests, staff and patients to respond to patient and guest information inquiries. Receives, screens, routes and/or responds to all incoming inquiries for information, directions or concerns. Receives guest suggestions and complaints and escalates through proper channels. Provides patient information in compliance with The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements and organizational privacy policies. Identifies and report issues of safety and maintenance. Assists in improving patient satisfaction while keeping volunteer office management informed of potential problems. Anticipates family's needs and resolves issues before they become major source of concern. REQUIREMENTS High School diploma equivalency 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
