SCCM Engineer

Job Title: SCCM Engineer - Application Packaging Engineer

Location: Plano, TX ( Hybrid: 3 days Onsite & 2 days REMOTE )

Duration: 12+ Months (Extension Possible)

Description & Skills / Experience Needed:

• Looking for a candidate to perform desktop application administration and deployments, as well as security updates.
• As a member of the Application Delivery team, you will create, test and deploy software packages, security patches and OS updates to a large and distributed enterprise.
• You will bring solid expertise in Windows Desktop OS, PowerShell, SCCM and automation, and familiarity with Mac OS scripting.
• 2+ years experience in Windows desktop systems management in a large enterprise environment
• 2+ years experience with PowerShell and desktop scripting

Responsibilities:

• Engage Application Owners/Developers/Vendors as needed to develop appropriate technical solutions
• Create application packages in MSI and/or Virtual format
• Maintain windows updates using Configuration Manager 2012
• Create deployment plans that mitigate risk, minimize conflict, and optimize level of effort
• Create partnerships with support teams ensuring they're aware of desktop changes and have an opportunity to provide feedback
• Provide input into strategic direction and provide technical leadership within the App Delivery team
• Own and implement process and technical improvements including process documentation and compliance improvements
• Remediate issues discovered during testing or deployment
• Provide third level support on packages, deployment, and windows update issues
• Provide desktop troubleshooting support during high impact events
• Provide automated solutions to alleviate issues that require manual technical intervention
• Engage with project teams as needed to provide packaging and deployment support

Preferred:

• 2+ years experience with SCCM/MDM administration
• 1+ years experience in automation solutioning and a continuous integration platform such as Jenkins
• 1+ years experience in Mac OS scripting
