OTE: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 On Target Earnings include all cash components: car allowance, bonus, commission, and base salary. Responsible for selling medical instruments and endoscopic equipment to doctors, hospitals, medical schools, ambulatory surgical centers and clinics by performing the following duties. REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meets and exceeds sales targets on an ongoing basis and has the ability to sell targeted products to targeted accounts.
- Understands and demonstrates proper minimally invasive application of all company products after training.
- Handles all customer product questions and inquiries consistent with sales training methodology. Advises customers of equipment features and benefits for given needs based on manufacturer's intended use.
- Travels through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders and service customer needs.
- Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales quotations.
- Applies selling methods which are concise, professional, ethical and persuasive to lead the customer to place an order. Increases account penetration with orders for new and existing lines of products and services.
- Conducts comprehensive product in-service training and product evaluations which lead to customer conversations. Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes unique product features and benefits.
- Prospects and develops relationships with potential customers, key physicians and other users of company products.
- Formulates a comprehensive territory business plan that reflects the company sales strategy.
- Provides updates to the Territory Manager and/or Regional Sales Manager on an ongoing basis regarding business conditions, competitive activity, industry trends, etc.
- Attends tradeshows, preceptorships and wet labs, if requested.
- Assists the customer service and administration department with order-related inquiries and problems, including Returns, Collections and (T&E/Loaner) Inventories.
- Promotes and models RWMIC Core Values in all interactions and responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Travels within the territory 90%+ of the time.
- Aware of and complies with the RWMIC Quality Manual and regulations & requirements as they apply to this job type/position.
- Completes all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
- Other duties as assigned by the Territory Manager or Regional Sales Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. Degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a previous outside sales position for surgical products highly preferred.
- Must be able to work in an Operating Room and in an office environment.
- Experience in the Medical Device Industry/Endoscopy desired, good working knowledge of minimally invasive procedures is a definite plus.
- Must have excellent and prompt communication skills, with the ability to function well in front of a highly educated and high-profile customer base.
- Results-oriented, dynamic, effective decision-making and technical expertise.
- Proficient PC skills and familiarity with MS Office suite of products, internet research and electronic communication channels are required. Experience with and understanding of multi-cultural and multi-generational differences and the ability to work within this environment is crucial for successful employment.
