Internship Overview

As aOperations Intern, you'll gain direct exposure to the daily operations of a landfill site. This internship is designed for students interested inenvironmental services, heavy equipment operations, and site management.You'll work alongside experienced landfill managers and operators to learn how we maintain compliance, efficiency, and safety at our facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily landfill operations including waste placement and compaction

  • Support environmental monitoring and reporting activities

  • Observe and help manage heavy equipment usage and maintenance

  • Participate in safety meetings and compliance inspections

  • Contribute to site improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects

  • Help track and document operational data and performance metrics

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

  • Strong interest in operations, sustainability, and field-based work

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; GIS or environmental software experience is a plus

  • Valid driver's license required
