Overview
The Director of PR & Communications will lead and strengthen the firm's voice, both internally and externally. This Director-level role carries enterprise-wide responsibility within a growing organization of more than 3,500 employees. The Director of PR & Communications serves as a senior leader within the Marketing & Communications organization, shaping firmwide narratives, advising leadership, and scaling communications strategies to support growth, geographic expansion, and organizational change. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Director, this role works in close partnership with the Chief Marketing Officer and executive leadership to ensure communications strategies align with firmwide priorities and business objectives. As the firm continues to grow organically and through acquisition, this role brings clarity, consistency, and confidence to how the organization communicates across disciplines, regions, and markets. The Director of PR & Communications leads external public relations efforts, strengthens internal communications, and supports crisis and change communications. This role also plays a critical part in shaping how the brand is represented in the marketplace. Equally important, the Director builds strong relationships with technical leaders and divisional teams, developing a deep understanding of services, business priorities, and technical expertise. This insight is translated into clear, compelling narratives that enhance brand recognition, reinforce business alignment, and support long-term growth. This position requires an experienced senior-level storyteller with a passion for design and the built environment. The ideal candidate can manage multiple initiatives while maintaining a clear strategic vision, effectively articulating what differentiates the firm and why it matters to clients and communities. The Director of PR & Communications partners closely with the Digital Marketing team to incorporate data-driven insights, explore emerging communication channels, and expand the firm's reach and influence.
