As the Sr. Operations Planning Analyst Intern, you'll have the unique opportunity to partner with supply chain and operations experts and support a dynamic team across its primary functions. You'll gain a broad range of experience in the many elements that contribute to the daily operations of a multi-faceted enterprise and develop critical business competencies through various tasks.

Internship Responsibilities

During this internship, you may assist with the following duties:

• Create, monitor, and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly order forecasts for manufacturing and distribution centers.
• Assist in the development of production-planning strategies and activities to maximize the use of the organization's resources and meet established production specifications and schedules.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Distribution, and Sales Forecasting teams to develop accurate forecasting of inbound and outbound workflow.
• Support strategic decision-making and the improvement of critical processes such as staffing and capacity planning.
• Gather requirements, document, and communicate the results of efforts to cross-functional team members.
• Develop KPI dashboards and data models to assist in making key business decisions.
• Analyze various KPIs for turnaround time, capacity, productivity, and forecast accuracy to identify potential risks and report to management.
• Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis based upon business needs.
• Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
• Manage projects by monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Develop modeling techniques using machine learning and automation to assist with operational and labor planning.

Preferred Skills

• Strong understanding and mastery of forecasting and supply chain planning processes and analytics.
• Experience in data analytics, modeling, simulation, and reporting.
• Excellent Microsoft skills, including data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL. Automation tools (R, Python, etc.) a plus.
• Excellent process improvement, process design, and change/program management skills.
• Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to write routine reports and prepare influential communications (email, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to present data to different groups within the organization, including executives.
• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
• Analytical thinker with a desire to be continually challenged.
• Team player with a positive attitude.

Education Level: 3rd or 4th year college
Degree Target: Pursuing a bachelor's degree in IT, Supply Chain, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field (related technical field a plus).
Program Dates: June 1st to Aug 7th (You must be able to work the full 10 weeks)
