Role and Responsibilities



  1. Perform/calculate/prepare and make required monthly journal entries and cost reclassifications.
  2. Assist in tracking all financial components of projects, such as budgets, estimates, costs, revenues, and billings.
  3. Analyze deviations of monthly operating and non-operating expenses versus budget/projections.
  4. Perform and analyze monthly credit card expenses and reclassify costs to projects as necessary.
  5. Prepare monthly AIA invoices in coordination with Project Managers.
  6. Project change order management to include preparation of required change order documentation and tracking for project customer approval.
  7. Assist with monthly project reviews, quarterly project cost to complete reviews and budget projection reviews.
  8. Analyze deviations from project budgets to assist Project Managers in making corrective actions with the project management team.
  9. Assist with internal and external financial audits.
  10. Assist with testing and rollout of ERP upgrades and additional module implementations
  11. Provide backup support for Accounts Payable, processing invoices and vendor payments in a timely manner.
  12. Provide backup support for Payroll entry in ERP and Dayforce systems.
  13. Assist with creating and maintaining project accounts in ERP system.
  14. Candidate must be flexible and able to balance/prioritize multiple priorities and projects.
  15. Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications: Required



  1. Associate's degree in accounting
  2. Minimum of five years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to project or manufacturing accounting.
  3. Demonstrated experience supporting project or manufacturing accounting functions, including tracking costs, billings, payable, payroll/cost reports, and compliance with accounting procedures.
  4. Compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
  5. Proficient in all MS office software



Qualifications: Preferred



  1. Five to seven plus years of accounting duties in an ERP system.
  2. Experience with SyteLine, JDE or other ERP software systems.
  3. Experience with manufacturing/project accounting concepts
  4. Understanding of percentage-of-completion accounting



Skills:



  1. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and business accounting systems
  2. Strong attention to data accuracy and integrity
  3. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  5. Sound judgment in resolving discrepancies and issues
  6. Ability to research and analyze
  7. Effective written and verbal communication skills
  8. Must have good ethics and integrity
  9. Presentation skills


General Physical Demands & Safety Awareness:

  3. For general office areas with LIGHT duty, employees should be able to exert or lift up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 5 lbs. of force frequently. Both standing and sitting foreseen frequently.
