About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

We are hiring a visionary Principal Designer to join our Sales Cloud UX team. We are currently reimagining the future of sales through the lens of Agentic AI, turning the CRM from a system of record into a system of action, empowering millions of sales professionals to build deeper relationships and close deals faster.
We are a tight-knit team working at the intersection of enterprise scale and AI-powered innovation. We value systems thinking, thoughtful storytelling, and a "builder" mentality. To be successful in this role, you will bring an extensive Design Thinking toolkit, top-notch visual design skills, and the ability to influence product strategy in a complex environment.
The Experimental Edge: While not a strict requirement, we are especially excited about designers who enjoy tinkering at the intersection of design and code. Ideally, you are curious about AI-assisted development (vibe coding) and have explored tools like Cursor or similar LLM-based workflows to bring ideas to life. We value a "prototyping mindset"-someone eager to experiment with how generative agents can transform complex enterprise tasks into intuitive, seamless experiences.
About Salesforce UX
At Salesforce, our UX teams aspire to make products people love-tools that make a salesperson's day more productive and a developer's app more feature-rich. You'll have the opportunity to work on Salesforce's flagship products, creating new design patterns and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to bring your visions to life.
You'll direct the team in crafting and articulating the product vision, requiring expert visualization skills, thought leadership, and the ability to work closely with product and technology partners. You'll immerse yourself in all aspects of end-to-end experience design, from storyboards and journey maps to high-fidelity mockups and functional prototypes. Experience/Skills Required
  • 10+ years of experience designing and delivering products from start to finish as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices.
  • Experimental Mindset (Plus): Experience or a strong interest in leveraging AI tools (like Cursor, Replit, or LLMs) to explore, prototype, or automate design workflows.
  • Prototyping & Curiosity: A track record of going beyond static mocks to explore how emerging tech can solve user problems.
  • Systems Thinking: Ability to step back and see a project's larger ecosystem, with a focus on solutions that improve the entire user flow, not just a single feature.
  • Strategic Influence: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, persuade others, and build consensus on projects with varying degrees of ambiguity.
  • Craft & Visual Excellence: Expert knowledge of current design tools such as Figma, along with an ability to quickly learn and adopt new tools as they emerge.
  • Communication: Strong active listening skills with an ability to build close, trusting relationships across Engineering and Product Management.
  • Ethics & Equality: An internal compass that points toward ethics, ensuring AI-driven experiences are designed with responsibility and inclusivity at the core.
Responsibilities
  • Set the Vision: Work closely with product owners and engineers to create a creative identity and long-term vision for Sales Cloud AI features.
  • Communicate Ideas: Use documentation, reviews, and presentations to communicate clear and compelling ideas to a wide range of key stakeholders.
  • Experimental Prototyping: Leverage AI-assisted tools to move quickly from concept to interactive demo, shortening the feedback loop between design and engineering.
  • Scale the System: Create designs that adhere to and extend the Lightning Design System (SLDS), ensuring a cohesive experience across the platform.
  • Mentor & Lead: Act as a high-level IC, mentoring junior designers and promoting new interface guidelines and design patterns.
  • Advocate for Accessibility: Create inclusive designs for all users, encouraging product and engineering management to prioritize accessible features and ethical AI.
How to Apply
Please submit a resume with links to your portfolio. We are particularly interested in seeing examples of your design process, including any experimental projects, functional prototypes, or instances where you've used AI to enhance your workflow. Submissions without portfolios or work samples will not be considered.
