ATI is seeking to hire a Maintenance Supervisor for our manufacturing facility in Brackenridge, Pennsylvania (suburb of Pittsburgh, PA). Our Maintenance Team is highly skilled and is critical to ensuring large industrial equipment and systems are fully operational for continuous production and to consistently meet production goals. As a Maintenance Supervisor you will lead and coordinate the work of employees who are responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing a broad range of mill and specialty steel manufacturing systems and equipment; and mechanical components such as hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, power transmission systems, etc. In addition, you will oversee building and facility maintenance and provide maintenance oversight on rolling mills, conveyors, and mechanical components such as hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, power transmission systems, etc. In order to become successful, you'll have to quickly learn ATI, our manufacturing equipment/systems, and our maintenance program. A successful Maintenance Leaders is a problem-solver and strong with troubleshooting, determining corrective actions, and identifying opportunities to enhance production efficiencies without compromising quality. Workplace safety is a core value, and our maintenance team plays a vital role in our safe operation. This position requires the ability to work overtime and weekends to complete special projects, including participation in weekend on-call schedules and off-shift rotation. Essential Functions
- Responsible for the development of turn to turn work schedules, lead, and direct work assignments to respective hourly personnel in trade and craft areas of the facility adhering to safety and housekeeping controls.
- Determine parts needed and collaborate with the planning function for the timely procurement of parts and/or outside services.
- Plan, schedule, order parts and manage repairs to equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assure availability of operations equipment for on-time delivery.
- Ensure correct operation of equipment for quality assurance.
- Determine and communicate shop requirements.
- React to the breakdown needs of the shop with limited repair time.
- Reduce maintenance cost of materials and labor. Reduce equipment delay times.
- Works closely with outside support people for mill activity coordination.
- Monitor safety programs, maintain awareness to seek out potential safety hazards, and appropriate address safety issues
Basic Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a technical field OR 3 years of maintenance supervision in an industrial/manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- 3 years leading an hourly union workforce is preferred
- Experience navigating and using of Maximo (CMMS)
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints
Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Possess technical knowledge of maintenance and operations functions.
- Ability to effectively lead, train, motivate and direct maintenance employees.
- Experience with resolving issues to root cause and ability to implement corrective actions
- Supervisory experience in a technical or manufacturing environment
- Strong technical and mechanical / electrical background
- Consistently operate within the budget constraints of organization unit
- Demonstrate the ability to manage priorities and work schedule to consistently meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software - Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc. and ability to use and maintain Maintenance Systems required.
- Candidates should have a strong work ethic, the ability to work as part of a team, good communication and organizational skills
