Security Officer - Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Mall Patrol in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer at a bustling retail location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. Your role includes supporting a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance to patrons as needed.
• Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports for management review.
• Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address concerns and uphold site standards.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to any situation requiring intervention, including but not limited to emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
