Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Specialist

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Specialist in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare settings.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the location.
• Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activities, and/or hazards, communicating with appropriate personnel as required.
• Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations and coordinating with first responders when necessary.
• Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to those within the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
