As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support dock and yard activity, assist team members and visitors with clear communication, and document observations with attention to detail. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse and distribution areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers, and directing them to approved check-in areas.
  • Perform vehicle and trailer yard checks as directed, including documenting trailer numbers, seal information, and yard conditions in written and/or electronic logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other systems, and communicate observations and/or concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete routine reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and maintenance or hazard notifications per location procedures.
  • Support dock and gate operations by observing inbound and outbound traffic flow, assisting with line management, and escalating issues when policy violations are observed.
  • Assist with emergency situations such as medical events, fire alarms, and severe weather by initiating notifications, guiding people to designated areas, and coordinating with responders as directed.
  • Maintain a professional presence, answer questions, provide directions, and address customer service needs for employees and visitors while enforcing location rules in a respectful manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
