Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Roving Patrol in New Albany, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer, monitoring assigned areas and conducting routine foot patrols at a dynamic location. You will stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support access control and visitor flow, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor assigned areas for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access, theft and/or property damage through presence and observation.
  • Control access points as assigned, verifying visitor identification and/or authorization in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Document routine activities and incident details in written reports and/or electronic logs according to Allied Universal requirements and site procedures.
  • Communicate with site contacts and/or law enforcement and emergency services as directed during incidents and/or alarms.
  • Perform rounds to check doors, gates, and other points of entry for signs of forced entry and/or policy violations.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems as assigned, which may include access control, alarm panels, and/or video monitoring equipment.
  • Provide direction and information to visitors and employees, including responding to questions and assisting with wayfinding as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access Control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
