As an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control while delivering outstanding customer service. You will communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors, document observations, and respond to concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical-area concerns, and suspicious activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help identify and report potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help manage visitor and vendor entry in accordance with site-specific processes, directing individuals to appropriate check-in and/or waiting areas.
  • Observe and report hazards, unsecured doors, and restricted-area issues, and communicate concerns to onsite contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Assist with de-escalation by providing clear directions and professional presence, requesting additional support when needed.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, and notifications from staff, and coordinate with emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
  • Complete detailed shift activity reports and incident documentation, including witness statements when appropriate, using required systems and/or paper logs.
  • Support investigations of security-related incidents by preserving observations, maintaining scene awareness, and providing timely information to leadership.
  • Operate communication equipment such as radios and phones to maintain situational awareness and support coordinated response across the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • - Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • - CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • - Customer service experience is preferred.
  • - A guard card and/or applicable state security professional license is preferred.
  • - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
