POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for designing, engineering, and implementing cloud network solutions across the enterprise. Focus on cloud connectivity, hybrid network integration, security models, and modern network architectures supporting multi-cloud platforms. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Design and implement cloud network architecture across public cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), including VNET/VPC design, routing, segmentation, firewalls, and secure connectivity. 2. Engineer hybrid connectivity solutions such as ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, VPN gateways, SD-WAN cloud integration, and private interconnect models. 3. Develop reusable patterns and configurations for cloud network deployments and ensure adherence to enterprise architectural standards. 4. Collaborate with Manager-Cloud Strategy to evaluate cloud networking requirements, align with cloud adoption roadmaps, and integrate with enterprise architecture principles. 5. Implement zero trust and cloud security controls, including network policies, micro segmentation, encryption standards, and firewall architectures. 6. Drive network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for cloud network provisioning and configuration management (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation). 7. Support cloud modernization and migration initiatives, ensuring network designs meet performance, resiliency, and compliance requirements. 8. Partner with Cyber security to integrate detection, logging, and observability into cloud network infrastructure. 9. Trouble shoot complex cloud networking issues and provide advanced support for performance, routing, and interconnect challenges. 10. Mentor cloud engineers and infrastructure teams, sharing technical knowledge, design guidance, and best practices. 11. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures. 12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $116,600.00 - $204,050.00 per year

New York Pay Ranges: Plattsburgh, Buffalo, Watertown, North Chili, East Syracuse, Nichols $116,600 - $204,050; Bethpage, Montgomery, West Babylon $116,600 - $204,050 QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering or equivalent work experience * Seven (7) years of experience in network engineering, with at least three (3) years in cloud networking * Cloud certifications such as Azure Network Engineer Associate, AWS Advanced Networking, Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer, or CCNP/CCIE with cloud specialization, preferred * Proficient experience designing and implementing cloud network architectures in large-scale enterprise environments. * Experience working in multi-cloud environments is strongly preferred. * Deep knowledge of AZURE/AWS/GCP networking (routing, load balancing, firewalls, DNS, segmentation, connectivity). * Strong understanding of enterprise networking technologies (BGP, OSPF, IPsec VPN, NAT, DNS, DHCP). * Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, CloudFormation). * Knowledge of network observability tools and cloud monitoring platforms. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication abilities, including explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Ability to lead technical workstreams and provide guidance without formal management responsibilities.
