YOUR IMPACT

Our Client Onboarding team is seeking a professional who is looking to work with our internal business counterparts and with a wide variety of individuals from Legal, Compliance, and Operations to facilitate and streamline an excellent client onboarding experience while mitigating risks associated with sensitive transactions. This position requires adhering to laws and regulations, a thorough understanding of a client service/on-boarding environment, and knowledge of the industry, our client base, and our systems.

Critical to the success of GSAM is our ability to leverage a global team of talented professionals to define solutions and lead change across the operational infrastructure.

The purpose of the US Shareholder Services team is to provide World Class Client Service to Investors in the GSAM Funds and to assist the GSAM Sales force in their Global Funds distribution effort. Within Shareholder Services, Client Onboarding works with clients investing in GSAM's funds from the decision to invest through to funding, ensuring a smooth and seamless onboarding process.

Working within the Client Onboarding team, the individual will specialize in the review of regulatory documentation in relation to AML/KYC and non-regulatory documentation to ensure compliance with firm requirements to enable the approval of new client relationships. The individual will work directly with our internal partners from Sales, Compliance, and Legal in a fast-paced environment with precision and accuracy. The ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and communicate to all levels of the organization is critical.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL



  • Ensure due diligence is performed on new clients to comply with "Know Your Customer (KYC)" regulations
  • Develop expertise in the Firm's Anti Money Laundering (AML)/Customer Identification Program (CIP) due diligence policies
  • Coordinate internally to obtain relevant onboarding requirements and ensure documentation complies with regulatory and compliance standards
  • Work on special projects as necessary (e.g. automation related projects, new business lines)
  • Partner with the Sales organization to ensure a seamless client onboarding from front to back and liaise with multiple parties to bring about execution of a transaction


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge of financial markets and products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Customer Identification Programs (CIP)/Know Your Customer (KYC) a plus
  • Understand structure of trading counterparts
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability of projects, and has strong organizational skills to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail to enable the ability to communicate complex items to a wide array of internal counterparties
