We're seeking passionate Dining Services Attendant, SR to bring their skills to our dynamic team. As a Dining Services Attendant, Senior will work an open or close shift and will perform various duties necessary in the preparation of service of food to include providing quality customer service to students, faculty, staff and quests. This position is an academic position. The academic position will work from August to May and will have summers off. This position may be required to work weekends, nights, days and holidays. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Greets and serves guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Prepares guests orders in a timely and accurate manner while ensuring quality and consistency.
- Processes point of sale transactions, verifying accurate order entry and proper payment.
- May assist in any front of house duties.
- Ensures all inventory is well organized and rotated properly.
- Communicates operational information regarding changes and concerns to the supervisor.
- Prepares and submits product orders accurately, meeting required deadlines.
- Supports student workers when needed.
- Ensures compliance and food safety, sanitation, and allergen protocols.
- Follows established operating procedures, recipes and service standards.
- Ensure coverage during employee breaks.
- Addresses issues as they arise and escalates to management when appropriate.
- May assist with student hiring, mentoring, and training.
- Identify sales trends and notify management.
- Assist with inventory.
- Complete daily shift reports, waste, and temp logs.
- May give input on forecasting.
- Additional duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of food service operations, including sanitation standards and food preparation.
- Knowledge of and actively supports labor cost and food cost budgets.
- Knowledge of food service equipment, such as steamers, slicers, and fryers.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lifts, transfers or moves a maximum of 50 lbs.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Five years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
