Role Overview:

The Supervisor Applicator is a safety-conscious person who leads our Applicator team to ensure that plant protection and fertilizer products are applied to a wide range of crops at various sites according to safety regulations and laws.

A Sample of What You'll Do in this Role:

  • Allocate all chemicals through delegation and supervision of all applicators.

  • Setup and calibrate equipment to be used in the field.

  • Coordinate work orders and delegate work assignments.

  • Ensure that all applicators are properly trained and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations for applications at all times.

  • Ensure applicators are properly using and maintaining equipment.

  • Ensure completion of all necessary paperwork by applicators (application records, shipping papers, driver daily reports, and all information on work orders).

  • Ensure correct materials are used at all times.

  • Promote proper handling and storage of all chemicals, chemical containers, and related equipment.

  • Ensure crew complies with all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.

  • Ensure safety gear is properly used at all times by all crew.

What You Bring to The Role:

  • 3+ years of experience as an applicator in an agricultural retail, manufacturing, or distribution environment with skills in drivingforklifts and repair of tools and equipment

  • A clean driving record and must possess or be able to obtain a commercial driver's license with endorsements for HazMat and Tank vehicles

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Qualified Applicator's Certification license and attend all required safety training meetings

  • Must be familiar with all laws and regulations governing pesticide applications

  • Experience using basic measurements and calculations for calibration (gallons per acre, and acres per tank)

  • Solid working knowledge of all application equipment and the ability to assemble and perform routine maintenance on such equipment

  • Willing to work odd hours during peak season (6-7 days, 10-14 hours, depending upon crew assignment, may be day or night)

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • BS in Agriculture Business, Agronomy, or Crop Science is preferred

  • 1+ years of supervisory or management experience is preferred

  • You can respond to common inquiries or complaints from other employees, customers, regulatory agencies, suppliers, etc.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $75,700 - $100,910. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.

  • This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
