The Small Business Relationship Manager will manage and grow a portfolio of business banking relationships while helping clients achieve their financial goals. In this role, you'll drive revenue growth, deepen client partnerships, and expand market presence through proactive relationship management and collaboration. You'll gain exposure to diverse industries and career growth opportunities within a strong regional bank.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage a portfolio of business banking clients with revenues up to $10MM, ensuring strong retention and relationship growth.

  • Drive loan, deposit, and fee income growth through proactive client engagement and centers of influence.

  • Partner with internal teams to deliver comprehensive banking solutions and cross-sell products and services.

  • Analyze client financials to assess creditworthiness and recommend appropriate loan structures.

  • Advise clients on banking solutions and market trends using approved resources.

  • Present credit opportunities and participate in the loan approval process.

  • Build community relationships to strengthen referrals and enhance the bank's local presence.

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field

  • 2+ years of commercial banking or business-to-business sales experience

  • Proven success in client relationship management and business development

  • Reliable transportation and ability to lawfully drive, if applicable

Preferred

  • 4+ years of experience managing business banking or commercial client portfolios

  • Knowledge of treasury management, deposits, and other non-borrowing products
