Education Recommendations

Currently a candidate for a PhD degree in electrical engineering or computer science in the field of telecommunications at an accredited school in the US.


  • Assess RF, link-level, and system-level performance evaluation employing advanced simulations.
  • Create competent ML solutions by utilizing advanced Machine Learning and GenAI infrastructure & platforms with state-of-the-art compute hardware.
  • Create inventions and intellectual property related to 6G and beyond air interface and MAC design.
  • Publications of findings and results, both externally and internally. Externally, they should be published at an IEEE conference, magazine, or journal.

  • BSc in the field of telecommunications, and other fields like electronics, computer science, mathematics, or physics are considered. You should be pursuing a PhD in EE or CS at an accredited university.
  • Knowledge and working experience in advanced mobile radio networks, including aspects like physical layer design, multiple access methods, waveforms and modulation, channel coding, MIMO and beamforming operation, and RF design aspects.
  • Understanding and hands-on experience with the latest Machine Learning techniques and architectures.
  • Analytical skills, including the ability to address complicated problems, divide those into manageable sub-problems, and related problem-solving skills.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Understanding radio channel modeling, link budget, and link-level performance.
  • Experience in radio system-level simulator development and hands-on experience in using system-level simulators.
  • Knowledge of 3GPP RAN specifications such as LTE, 5G NR, and 6G.
  • Good working knowledge of software implementation and hardware for radio communication systems.
  • Documented research experience and impact, e.g., from former industrial research and/or solid track record of high-quality publications at internationally recognized conferences and Journals or other Industrial fora.
  • Excellent software development skills, including C++, MATLAB, and Python.
