EDUCATION / PRIOR EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
To succeed, the person will need to be detail-oriented and be a team player with the ability to effectively articulate findings. Working conditions are normal for an engineering office and lab environment. No relocation will be provided. PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform an in-depth documentation review of materials received and process certifications from suppliers for first article and production parts. * Develop reverse engineering materials test plans to be sent to outside labs. * Provide support in preparation of documentation required to send first article and production parts to outside Materials Analysis labs. * Interface with outside labs, Review test reports for accuracy and complete test plans. * Perform in-house materials testing with XRF equipment, FTIR, Rockwell hardness, Shore hardness and passivation test (Training will be provided). * Develop and maintain materials and process specifications in compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., ASTM, AMS, MIL) * Other Duties assigned by Materials Engineering | |
