The Strategic Initiatives Unit Research Program Assistant will perform a broad range of tasks supporting the strategic vision of the Office of Research and Innovation.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assisting with managing complex schedules, including planning and coordinating meetings and conferences with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinating with the Research and Innovation webmaster to maintain program-specific webpages.
- Generating email campaigns and invitations pertaining to upcoming events.
- Updating databases and listservs.
- Providing comprehensive operational support, event coordination, and program development.

- Extensive experience in project management, full-cycle event planning, and providing administrative support within a fast-paced environment.
- High-level mastery of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat, with experience managing video conferencing platforms including Zoom, Zoom Webinar, Google Chat, and YouTube.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information clearly to a variety of stakeholders, including staff, executive leadership, and external partners.
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities, meet critical deadlines, and self-monitor project timelines with minimal supervision.
- A proactive, self-motivated thinker who can quickly learn new systems and adapt to the evolving needs of a broad research environment.
- Meticulous approach to task accuracy, database management, listserv maintenance, and calendar oversight.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, professional work ethic and a resourceful approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with managing web-based content and generating digital communication/email campaigns.

- Bachelor's degree preferred and one year of experience related to the area of assignment. Applicants with a High School diploma or equivalency plus 4 years of related experience; or graduation with an associate's degree and two years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience will also be considered.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
