Wargaming Analyst, Mid

The Opportunity:

Design and execute strategic and operational level wargames for a range of participants, including senior military leaders, CEOs, action officers, and corporate managers. Apply specific functional knowledge and working or general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance. May review or guide activities of more junior employees. Support the planning and execution of cyber wargames to assess weapon systems and critical infrastructure within Department of War's management, oversight, and programmatic evaluation purview. Assist with course of action analysis, strategy development, and organizational processes and procedures to craft experiences that allow participants to test assumptions in a minimal-risk environment and gain stakeholder buy-in. Coordinate exercise progress and activities between the client, Combatant Commanders, DoD services and agencies.Support the development and maturation of a novel wargaming methodology that integrates modeling and simulation tools.Perform extensive research, writing, and brief building to support a major staff function.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with cyberspace operations, operational planning, cyber mission force operations, cybersecurity studies, wargaming, defense policy, or modeling and simulation

  • Experience with exercise and training activities, including tabletop exercises, cyber tabletop exercises, experiments, live-force exercises, and professional analytic wargaming

  • Experience with DoD or interagency partners operations

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team of engineers, defense and intelligence analysts, scientists, and uniformed military members

  • Ability to prioritize mission-essential tasks toward wargame objectives

  • Ability to plan, conduct, and analyze research to inform cyberspace wargames

  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in intelligence analysis and developing adversary capability assessments or scenarios

  • Experience in a military staff environment

  • Experience briefing and delivering training to senior military and civilian leaders

  • Experience using modeling and simulation tools to conduct assessments

  • Possession of excellent organizational skills

  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
