Overview

Milton CAT is seeking an experienced trainer. The candidate will be based in Mass/Rhode Island region. Responsibilities include identifying, developing, and providing training to employees and customers within the Milton CAT territory. The goal is to improve overall technical competency of all team members.

Pay Range: $60,000 to $70,000 annually



Responsibilities

    Provide hands-on parts training to new and existing Milton CAT employees. Training topics include but are not limited to new product introduction training, using Caterpillar systems for parts identification and ordering, standard warehouse operational practices/procedures, hydraulic hose assembly, and safe operational practices and procedures.
  • Continuously review and evaluate training programs and best practices to remain current with the latest training material and delivery methods and trends.
  • Utilize Caterpillar's online training website to assign online classes to employees, and report on employee completion.
  • Participation in Parts Department Procedure and Training Committees.
  • Develop and lead Parts Technical and Customer Service Classes as assigned.
  • Instruct customers and second level dealers on our online parts ordering capabilities.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

  • Minimum of one year Parts Counter experience preferred
  • Ability to present new subjects and concepts to all employees
  • Dynamic presentation skills with strong public speaking & overall communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to develop training and utilize E-Learning
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good organizational skills
  • Energy and stamina to work extended daily hours as needed
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to utilize company vehicle for travel
  • Ability to travel to other Milton CAT locations as needed

Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • Prior industry experience preferred.
