Wyman-Gordon, located in Princeton, KY, provides powdered metals for Isothermal Forgings for military and commercial turbine applications using nickel based and titanium alloys. Plant Mechanical Facilities Engineer

We are searching for an experienced and highly motivated facilities engineer responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing mechanical, vacuum, plumbing, HVAC and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal operating efficiency and availability. Large cap-ex or planned shutdown projects and equipment improvements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop deep understanding of facility capital equipment and be seen as Mechanical SME for all equipment questions, maintenance and upgrades.
  • Project Management including:
  • Responsible for justification, planning and execution of projects up to several million dollars.
  • Develop work specifications and requirements for contractors, vendors, and/or maintenance.
  • Write operational procedures for equipment installations.
  • Supply technical support to production/maintenance during system and machine breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot system start-ups.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 1-5 years of experience in mechanical or facilities engineering
  • Knowledge of fabrication and maintenance shop practices
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Familiarity with measuring tools
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3-D Drawing Software (AutoDesk Inventor Preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Good communications and organization skills
