Provides supervision and coordination of manufacturing within the manufacturing team to ensure attainment of strategic company goals and objectives. Develops, implements and sustains plans in line with SQDCP goals. Follows directions set forth by the Manufacturing Director and provide training and support for direct reports. Fulfills Quality System requirements as described within the Quality Manual. Comply with all health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and job hazard assessments applicable to specified job activities.

What will you be doing?

  • Supervise the work of team leaders, direct labor personnel, and technicians, ensuring that product quality requirements are met for all goods produced.

  • Plan, coordinate and communicate with manufacturing teams and other departments concerning the daily production plan required to meet customer requirements and maintain inventory levels in line with company goals.

  • Create an atmosphere that is consistent with company goals, policies and ethics. Nurtures open and positive communications.

  • Provide regular feedback and coaching to direct reports.

  • Collect data on performance of production and generate reports, including efficiencies within the area. Make recommendations for process improvement changes.

  • Participate as a key member of cross function teams that are commercializing new products or product line upgrades.

  • Provide feedback for methods, fixtures and manufacturing processes, including but not limited to, recommending improvements that drive cost, quality or productivity.

  • Establish cost standards with manufacturing teams and manager, ideas on flow of manufacturing and recommend purchasing of tools, equipment and materials.

  • Ensure JHA's are completed for all jobs and workers are properly trained in all elements of the JHA. Ensure proper controls and preventative measures are in place and utilized, including personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Ensure that all production operations conform to GMP, OSHA and ISO standards.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business or technical area or equivalent.

  • Experience: 3+ years of progressive supervision or management experience within a manufacturing environment. Medical device manufacturing experience is a plus.

  • Competences: Familiarity with statistical process control, lean and other process Improvement methods. Experience with Microsoft tools, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Tears, Project and Visio. Experience with a cleanroom manufacturing environment is a plus.

  • Travel Requirements: <10%
