Job Title: Construction Manager

Location: Chattahoochee FL 32324

Duration: 4 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $57.00/hr.
Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night):Day 8 am- 5pm

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of construction management principles, methods, and best practices for public-sector projects
  • Knowledge of state and local building codes, life-safety requirements, and applicable regulatory standards for healthcare or institutional facilities
  • Knowledge of Florida public procurement and contracting requirements, including oversight of vendor and construction management contracts
  • Knowledge of construction project delivery methods (e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build)
  • Knowledge of project scheduling, cost controls, change management, and construction documentation
  • Knowledge of occupational safety standards and site safety practices
  • Knowledge of coordination requirements for construction activities within an occupied facility


Require Experience:


  • Experience managing or overseeing construction projects in a public-sector or institutional environment
  • Experience coordinating with construction management firms, general contractors, architects, engineers, and facility staff.
  • Experience serving in an owner's representative or project oversight role
  • Experience with renovation or construction projects in healthcare, behavioural health, or secure facilities (preferred)
  • Experience monitoring project schedules, budgets, and contractor performance
  • Experience supporting construction activities in occupied facilities with ongoing operations Skill in coordinating and overseeing construction activities on behalf of an owner or public agency
  • Skill in serving as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external construction management firms and contractors
  • Skill in reviewing construction schedules, progress reports, submittals, and change requests for compliance with contract requirements
  • Skill in identifying risks, delays, or issues and elevating them appropriately for resolution
  • Skill in conducting site visits, participating in inspections, and documenting observations
  • Skill in effective oral and written communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Skill in maintaining accurate project records and documentation
  • Skill in applying independent judgment while operating within delegated authority
  • In this capacity, the Construction Manager would represent the Department's interests throughout all phases of the project and provide day-to-day coordination, oversight, and communication to ensure the work is executed in accordance with contract requirements, approved plans, schedules, budgets, and applicable codes and standards. Responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:
  • Serving as the single point of contact between the Department and the REDM Construction Management firm
  • Coordinating and participating in project meetings, site visits, and inspections
  • Monitoring construction progress, milestones, and schedules and identifying risks or delays
  • Reviewing and facilitating Department input on submittals, change requests, and project documentation
  • Ensuring construction activities align with Department operational needs, safety requirements, and continuity of services
  • Elevating issues, concerns, or required decisions to Department leadership in a timely manner
  • Assisting with project close-out activities, including punch lists, acceptance, and documentation
  • Fingerprint level 2 check required.
