Summary of Position:

The Simulator Training Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating aviation simulator training to support pilot qualification, recurrent training, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures efficient use of flight simulation training devices (FSTDs) while aligning training schedules with operational demands, instructor availability, and regulatory requirements.

Plan and schedule simulator training events for initial, transition, upgrade, and recurrent pilot training. Coordinate training schedules with pilots, instructors, and training management. Manage simulator availability, instructor coverage, and training priorities to maximize simulator utilization. Adjust schedules in response to operational changes, instructor staffing, or simulator downtime.

Track all required training courses and documentation to ensure timely completion and submission. Develop and maintain an understanding of data within our web-based program, course documentation, and TSA systems to support accurate training planning and compliance.

Maintain a comprehensive master name list by accurately tracking customer and pilot names, course details, and related information to support training records, course documentation, certifications, and compliance requirements.

Provide administrative and operational support to the training office, addressing student demands and assisting with day-to-day functions as needed.

Qualifications for Position:

Education

  • High school

Experience

  • 3-5 years administrative and customer service experience.
  • Preference given to prior experience in the commercial and/or manufacturing rotorcraft industry.
  • Experience in training coordination, scheduling, or planning (simulator or technical training preferred)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Proficiency with scheduling software, databases, or learning management systems
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with simulator-based training environments
  • Familiarity with regulatory or certification requirements (industry-specific)
  • Background in operations, training administration, or instructional support
