Description

Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Summary:The Inventory & Sourcing Specialistwillbe responsibleforfacilitatinginventorytransactions,allocation,orderprocessesandactasliaisonamonginternal andexternal stakeholderssuch aswarehouses,vendorsandcustomers.This position requires a highly organized andaccurateindividualwith effectivecustomer service skills.

  • Supports daily operations across sales, inventory management, and product movement byleveragingstrong working knowledge of sales orders, fish purchase orders, and in transit order processes within the ERP system, as well as real world workflows.
  • Effectivelyutilizesall available tools and technology to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and seamless operational execution.
  • Receives stock in compliance with seafood inventory and traceability standards. Troubleshoots inbound and outbound order issues to ensureaccuratedata flow andtimelyshipments.
  • Resolvesfailed EDI transactions daily.
  • Creates and tracks purchase orders, verifies required approvals, and ensures vendors provideaccuratetraceability information for system entry. Reviews and authorizes outgoing payments. Adheres to title protection requirements and import/export documentation protocols to minimize financial riskwith support from the team.
  • Partners with Quality Assurance team tocontainandmonitorproduct while in-transit and or pending at 3rd party warehouses
  • Manages stock transfers toconsolidateinventory and prepare products for export.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders across operations,logistics, sales, and warehousing to drive effective outcomes. Anticipates and mitigates potential issues through critical thinking and proactive problem solving.
  • Provides inventory support related to customer claims and deductions
  • Interacts with third party websites tofacilitatebusiness
  • Works onsite to buildstrong teamconnections, collaborate across functions, and solve problems in real time.

This is a non-exempt position with an hourly pay rate range of $34 to $39 per hour.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required

PreferredEducation & Experiences:

  • Experience with inventory processes, operations,warehousingand/or equivalent combination of training,educationand experience.
  • AA Degree preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities(KSAs):

  • Demonstrated knowledge ofERP systems, inventory and procurementbest practices,import or exportcompliance, and regulationsdesirable.
  • Stronginterpersonalskills,oral and writtencommunication, Excel, dataanalysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities,agile prioritization,collaborate across teams,maintainconfidentiality, adaptiveto change.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.

Physical/Mental demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time at a desk. Frequently required to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee will occasionally stand, walk, and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision for frequent use of a computer.
