Epic Cogito Business Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Business Intelligence team as a Cogito Business Analyst focusing on the Epic EHR system. This is a fully remote position dedicated to leveraging Epic's Cogito tools to design, develop, and maintain analytics and reporting solutions. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to support Ardent Health's market and corporate customers through data-driven insights and decision-making.

As a Cogito Business Analyst, you would be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and developing solutions to drive increased productivity, engagement, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a deep understanding of Epic's data structures. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in SQL, and experience with Epic's clinical workflows.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze requirements for analytics and reporting projects.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical requirements for reporting solutions.
• Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including business requirements documents, process flows, and data mapping.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making.
• Create and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports and dashboards.
• Provide end-user training and support to ensure effective utilization of reporting tools and solutions.
• Participate in agile meetings (e.g., daily scrums, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and sprint planning).
• Conduct data validation and quality assurance to ensure data integrity.
• Respond to support tickets in line with established turnaround times.
• Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging trends in data analytics and reporting.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Data Science, Health Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, with a strong focus on clinical analytics and reporting.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, with a strong focus on analytics and reporting preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry and familiarity with healthcare data preferred.
• Epic certification in relevant Cogito modules (e.g., Cogito Fundamentals, Cogito Tools) preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with queries and stored procedures preferred.
• Experience with PowerBI for data visualization preferred.
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices preferred.
