Fitness Instructor P/T

SUMMARY

Provide services for an aerobics instructional program at the Fitness Center.

Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Pay for Fitness Instructor Part-Time: $22.91

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

• Provide instructor led aerobic and non-aerobic fitness classes including popular upbeat classes approved by the base Fitness Center Director (Maximum of 22 course/week)
• Provide professionally prepared materials/instructions in relation to subject matter and must clear all publicity and information to customers prior to distribution with the Fitness Center Director/Assistant.

• Provide yoga instruction in various disciplines i.e. Kemetic, Hatha, Power Flow, Restorative, etc. as needed based on local demand.

• Provide instructor led aerobic and non-aerobic fitness classes including popular upbeat classes approved by the base Fitness Center Director.

• Provide professionally prepared materials/instructions in relation to subject matter and must clear all publicity and information to customers prior to distribution with the Fitness Center Director/Assistant.

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of four years' experience in yoga practice. Military experience preferred but not required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Instructor must be certified by an Air Force recognized organization listed on the AF Fitness and Sports Manager website (https://www.usafservices.com)
• Must be able to provide certifications and original documents will displayed inside premises.

• Certification in some discipline of Yoga instruction.

• Ability to lead a classroom and instruct.

• Must be First Aid and CPR certified.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled gym facility.
