Logistics Support and CMPro Analyst SME 2

Location: NAVSTA Norfolk, VA

ESN is currently looking for a Logistics Support and CMPro Analyst SME 2 to join a highly motived and skilled team, in support of the BA-ISEA program.

Duties:



  • Coordinate with logistics, engineering, production, and program stakeholders to ensure alignment across CM, logistics, and technical data efforts.
  • Perform configuration management duties in support of DoD quality control standards.
  • Maintain, update, and manage CM-controlled documentation in accordance with approved governance processes.
  • Support Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Data Management (PDM) activities.
  • Execute CMPro user functions including work order creation, reporting, and tool utilization.
  • Perform CMPro administrative functions including workflow creation, basic user management, role assignment, control group creation, and permission management.
  • Manage, review, and update NAVSEA/NAVWAR Technical Manuals (TMs) ensuring compliance with technical standards and engineering drawings.
  • Process Technical Manual Deficiency/Evaluation Reports (TMDERs) through the Technical Data Management Information System (TDMIS), providing quality feedback to improve documentation accuracy.
  • Provide life cycle logistics support for assigned systems, coordinating with stakeholders to implement updates and revisions.
  • Ensure alignment with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) requirements for shipboard maintenance and testing.
  • Support PMSMIS activities and reference tools as required
  • Support provisioning and logistics product data using the Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (iCAPS).
  • Ensure accurate entry, management, and submission of Provisioning Parts Data (PPD), Logistics Product Data (LPD), and supply chain information in compliance with U.S. Navy standards.
  • Assist with Allowance Parts List (APL) development and maintenance.
  • Identify documentation, configuration, or logistics risks and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Support reporting, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and compliance.

  • Develop and implement a system for controlled access and distribution of application documentation.
  • Ensure timely dissemination of documentation updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and enforce documentation standards for formatting, style, and terminology to ensure consistency and professionalism.
  • Implement a quality control process to review all documentation for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with established standards.
  • Manage and maintain the SharePoint site(s) used for storing, organizing, and accessing application documentation.
  • Configure SharePoint permissions to ensure appropriate access controls are in place.



Experience Required:

Minimum of Ten (10) + years supporting logistics, configuration management, technical documentation, or lifecycle support

Education:

Technical Training in software maintenance and sustainment supporting DoN maintenance, logistics, and business systems.

Desired Skills:



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


  • Strong understanding of technical documentation principles and best practices.

    • Technical writing and document control
    • CM tools and processes (CMPro preferred)




  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
