| Position Summary |
This position will be responsible for directing the daily operations of the
CAES Office of Research, which includes the Associate Dean, the Assistant Dean, the Executive Superintendent for
CAES Research and Education Centers, and the Director for Industry Partnerships. This position is responsible for managing the office and coordinating the Associate Dean's activities to support the strategic initiatives of the research mission of
CAES. This position will report directly to the Associate Dean for Research. It will serve as the liaison between the Associate Dean's direct reports, the Dean's Office, and external constituencies, including other administrators, faculty, students, and external stakeholders. |

- Serves as the primary liaison between the Associate Dean and direct reports, senior leadership, CAES research faculty, and staff.
- Initiates contact, follow-up, and problem resolution with industry and stakeholder groups in Georgia and beyond
- Exercises appropriate judgment in planning and directing the Associate Dean's calendar and travel around the state
- Responsible for creating Zoom meetings, office conferences, and facilitating interoffice communications
- Supervises student workers; supports the team environment of the Associate Dean's office

- Directs and schedules speaking engagements and meetings
- Prepares briefings and background documents for the Associate Dean before meetings and events
- Initiates, drafts, and polishes targeted written and oral communications
- Disseminates internal and public-facing mass communications on behalf of the Associate Dean's office in coordination with the Photographer and Creative Design Specialist in the CAES Office of Research and CAES Office of Marketing and Communications

- Advises Extension faculty and staff on updated policies and procedures
