At ZOLL, you won't just have a job. You'll have a career-and a purpose.
Join our team. It's a great time to be a part of ZOLL! Job Type Hybrid Due to the onsite requirements of this position, applicants are expected to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the designated work location (Chelmsford, MA). This role does not offer relocation. Job Summary You'll design, build, deploy, and operate cloud-native healthcare applications that clinicians and patients depend on every day. You'll own solutions end to end, from architecture and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and iteration, with real influence over technical direction.
We're in the middle of a meaningful modernization: expanding our use of managed AWS services, evolving toward fully cloud-native architectures, and modernizing existing systems as we go. That means your work will include both greenfield design and thoughtful evolution of systems already in production. If you like problems where the right answer isn't obvious and the tradeoffs matter, you'll have plenty of them.
You'll join a small scrum team working on our Device Management and Readiness products, currently 3 engineers and 2 QA, and growing. Engineers have real ownership, short feedback loops, and a clear line of sight from problem to production. You'll have the backing of a larger engineering organization for platform, security, and shared services, so you're not reinventing foundations to ship features.
How we work
Small, autonomous teams. Teams own their services and partner with product on roadmap priorities. Strong SRE and automation. A dedicated SRE team and solid automation keep production quiet. Engineers pitch in when production genuinely needs it, but it rarely does. Modernization in flight. You'll have meaningful input into where the platform goes next. Agile, not ceremony heavy. Lightweight planning, code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement. AI-assisted development. AI-assisted development is part of our engineering workflow. AI accelerates productivity, but engineers remain accountable for architecture, quality, security, testing, compliance, and production outcomes. Human judgment, ownership, and engineering excellence remain central to everything we build.
What you'll do
Design and build cloud-native services, APIs, and event-driven systems that scale and stay reliable in production. Own features end to end: architecture, code, tests, deployment, and observability. Contribute to architectural decisions, engineering standards, and modernization strategy. Collaborate closely with product, design, QA, SRE, and other engineering teams to ship solutions that improve customer and patient outcomes. Review code, mentor teammates, and help raise the bar on quality, security, and operational excellence.
