Job Scope

The Global Product Manager, IVD for targeted molecular assays will be responsible and accountable for the product management activities supporting innovation, product development and managing on-market products pertaining to Women's Health and Neonate infectionsas well as Analytical Specific Reagents (ASRs) on the LIAISON MDX System. The Product Manager will work with management to drive portfolio needs and execute product line strategies in accordance with the strategic marketing plan to meet the yearly revenue and profitability goals. The Product Manager will collaborate with Operational and Commercial teams to be the voice of product and execute the portfolio lifecycle strategy, new product launch plans and managing product retirements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties



  • Overall product management responsibility for the LIAISON MDX System, Women's Health and Neonate product lines and associated ASRs including:

    • Leading marketing efforts as part of the product development team
    • Planning and leading commercialization and launch activities.
    • Developing product positioning and marketing campaigns
    • Developing and executing to the portfolio lifecycle plan


  • Act as the main point of contact for product specific requests from Regional Marketing, Customer Service, Marketing Communications, R&D, Scientific Affairs, Technical Service, Manufacturing, and other Operational partners.
  • Provide strategic direction and messaging for tradeshows and conferences related to the assigned products in the assigned IVD Systems portfolio.
  • Work with technical support, regional marketing and R&D to ensure product performance issues are tracked and resolved, and appropriate documentation is provided to partners and customers
  • Monitor market and competitive trends to develop sustaining product line strategies
  • Support the broader global marketing team on assignments or projects as required
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Sets specific goals and objectives, ability to plan for the length and difficulty of assignments, ability to break down projects into specific tasks/steps
  • Identifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions



Education, Experience and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree Science, Engineering, or relevant degree Required
  • Master's Degree Business Preferred
  • 3+ Years Product marketing experience in Diagnostics Required
  • 2+ Years Experience developing customer and product requirements for product development teams Required
  • 2+ Years Experience with international business / global product launches Required
  • 2+ Years Experience managing products across the entire portfolio lifecycle Required
  • 2+ Years Experience working within a quality-systems environment and product development under design control Required



Training and Skills



  • Marketing performance excellence with portfolio planning; lifecycle management;
  • communication planning; market research, segmentation and analytics; new product launchesand corresponding collateral materials; and product development from concept/identified needthrough commercialization High
  • An overall competency in analyzing market data, trends and competitive environment, andpreparing/presenting related reports High
  • Self-starter, enthusiastic and strategic thinker with a bias for action High
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building both internal and externalrelationship High
  • Self-confident and strong work ethic High
  • Solid track record of establishing good, internal relationships High
  • Demonstrated track record of success in translating a concept or new product to a successfulmarketing and sales campaign High
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and High



Travel Requirements



  • 20% Domestic travel
