As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with calm, clear communication and provide helpful customer service to staff and visitors. This armed post requires an armed guard card or license. At Allied Universal, you will work with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Armed guard card holders are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to the public and staff at a government transportation location by following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal post orders, and initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or vehicle authorization as required, documenting entries, exits, and unusual conditions.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with onsite personnel and public emergency services as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol findings, and security-related activities, and communicate updates to supervision and client representatives per protocol.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
