As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will use clear communication and customer service to assist employees, visitors, and contractors while documenting observations using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a tech-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, labs, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance or access issues.
• Monitor access points and interior areas, observing for unusual conditions and/or policy violations, and report findings according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance within the scope of training and escalating to site contacts and/or public emergency resources as needed.
• Complete detailed shift documentation, including patrol activity, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, using required logs and/or reporting systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 6+ months of security experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
