Job Description




As a Security Guard - Mobile Patrol Driver in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to calls for assistance, and provide customer service through clear communication and reporting. This is a driving post, supporting coverage across the site as needed. At Allied Universal, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial properties, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and access issues.
  • Monitor and control access at entrances and/or vehicle gates; verify credentials as required, assist with directions, and escalate concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions, and communicate with property management and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete routine reports and activity logs, handle lost and found and tenant service requests as assigned, and use radios and/or mobile devices to relay updates per site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must be able to ride a bike.
  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
