Job Description




As a Armed Security Officer - Overnight Driver in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card/license, and a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patrons and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government library location.
  • Maintain a visible armed presence and help to deter prohibited activity while supporting access control, visitor screening practices as assigned, and orderly conduct within public areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, and/or alarms, and request additional resources as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter, monitoring for unusual conditions, unsecured areas, and/or policy violations.
  • Complete required reports and logs for security-related incidents, patrol activity, and/or client interactions, and communicate status updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1 plus years armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
