Responsibilities

Oak Plains Academy (a UHS company)

Oak Plains Academy is a comprehensive and highly structured 98-bed residential treatment program offering psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents, struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. Residents receive an individualized treatment plan, geared to meet their personal needs. A professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses, and teachers serve hundreds of children and adolescents annually with the common goal of treating and healing trauma and building resiliency in the residents we serve. Located on 20 acres of rolling hills in a rural setting, about 45 minutes from Nashville, Tennessee, Oak Plains Academy campus features a full-size gymnasium, dining hall, separate academic building, and four dormitories.

The Performance Improvement Coordinator plans, coordinates, directs and carries out activities related to the facility-wide performance and quality improvement program and processes. Ensures that the facility is in compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, AHCA, OSHA and other regulatory agencies standards. Responds quickly and proactively to performance indicators and data, resulting in higher quality staff and superior patient care. The Performance Improvement Coordinator will audit records to ensure documentation is completed timely, effectively and according to facility policy, to ensure facility staff is following established policies and procedures, and to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, contracts, licensing standards and guidelines. The Performance Improvement Coordinator will assist PI Director in preparing for, and conducting the monthly PI Committee, will implement action plans deriving from those meetings and regulatory surveys.

Qualifications

Assocaite Degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred in Nursing or related field.

One to two years experience with knowledge of Performance Improvement/Quality Management preferred. A strong knowledge of The Joint Commission. CMS, AHCA, OSHA standards and any other applicable federal and start laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.

Must have good verbal and written communications skills in order to communicate in a clear and concise manner with employees, patients, the general public, physicians and administrative personnel. Must have good analytical ability to interpret and analyze Performance and Quality Improvement data. Must have the ability to plan, direct, implement and evaluate Performance and Quality Improvement activities for the facility. Must have excellent computer skills.
