Description
The Senior Vice President of Information Technology (SVP, IT) is responsible for establishing and executing the enterprise technology vision in alignment with ReaderLink's strategic objectives. This executive leader oversees all aspects of technology strategy, infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, data governance, and digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
Serving as the principal technology advisor to the Chief Financial Officer and executive leadership team, the SVP, IT ensures that technology investments drive operational excellence, scalability, security, and competitive advantage. This role requires a strategic leader with deep distribution, B2B, and B2C industry experience who can translate business priorities into actionable technology roadmaps, while building and leading high-performing IT teams.
The SVP, IT is accountable for enterprise-wide technology governance, modernization of legacy platforms, digital enablement, risk management, and long-term innovation planning to support ReaderLink's continued growth and operational performance.
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Develop and execute an enterprise-wide IT strategy and multi-year technology roadmap aligned with corporate objectives, customer expectations, and Readerlink technology standards.
  • Serve as a member of the executive leadership team, advising senior leadership on technology investments, risk posture, innovation opportunities, and digital enablement strategies.
  • Lead enterprise digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, cost management, supply chain optimization, customer experience, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee the modernization of legacy systems and drive scalable cloud and infrastructure strategies that support business growth and resiliency.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise data governance, analytics, and business intelligence strategies to ensure integrity, accessibility, and security of organizational data assets.
  • Strengthen cybersecurity posture by implementing industry-recognized security frameworks, managing enterprise risk, ensuring regulatory and partner compliance, and overseeing incident response and business continuity planning.
  • Lead IT financial planning, including capital and operating budgets, cost optimization strategies, ROI analysis, and long-term investment planning.
  • Manage vendor partnerships, contract negotiations, and performance management processes to ensure service excellence and value realization.
  • Evaluate and implement process improvements.
  • Oversee enterprise applications, infrastructure, telecommunications, network operations, and end-user services to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Provide executive leadership in organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development across IT functions.
  • Strengthen governance, standardization, and process discipline across all IT functions to improve operational effectiveness and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with ReaderLink's business partners' technology requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to proactively position the organization for future opportunities.
  • Other duties may be assigned, directed, or requested.
What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Masters in degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive Information Technology experience is required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years in senior leadership roles within the distribution industry is preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years leading enterprise IT organizations, including oversight of both infrastructure and application development functions is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing enterprise-wide technology strategies in complex, multi-site environments.
  • Significant experience leading enterprise ERP implementations, including Microsoft D365 or comparable platforms.
  • Experience with Blue Yonder End-to-End Supply Chain Management solutions is preferred.
  • Experience with IBM iSeries technology is preferred.
  • Experience implementing enterprise systems, cybersecurity frameworks, EDI solutions, and large-scale modernization programs is preferred.
  • Experience with managing multi-million-dollar capital and operating budgets is preferred.
  • Experience in leading strategic organizational transformation and fostering a culture that enables high-performing teams to thrive.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Strong financial acumen, including the ability to evaluate capital investments, total cost of ownership, and return on investment.
  • Ability to form effective partnerships across the organization within IT and across all business functions is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing strategic priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment is required.
  • Strong to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to speak with all levels of the organization and outside partners.
  • Ability to communicate complicated information to others.
  • Ability to convey complex and technical information clearly, persuasively, and professionally.
  • Ability to present ideas confidently and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Must be proficient in basic mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to do algebra, calculate figures and amounts and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, develop forecasts, evaluate investment models, and interpret complex performance metrics.
  • Ability to apply mathematical and financial concepts such as ratios, percentages, margins, cost analysis, and ROI modeling to strategic business decisions.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to apply strategic thinking and sound judgment to complex organizational challenges.
  • A methodical, analytical, and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and translate them into executable action plans.
  • The work performed is in an office environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Employee is occasionally exposed to vibration and dust.
  • Travel may be required to support distribution centers, vendor engagements, or business initiatives.
Salary: $275,000.00 - $300,000.00
