This position assists the manager by providing leadership and direction to assigned Revenue Specialists on the Revenue Operations (ROPS) team, often overseeing projects, monitoring of and managing teammates to metrics. The role includes direct supervisory responsibilities for a team of 10-25 teammates.

Hybrid to the Federal Way, Washington business office is preferred; however, remote consideration may be available for candidates who are not local.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duties generally fall into three categories:

1. Teammate Supervision (60%)

  • Directly supervise, mentor, and coach a team of 10-20 teammates.
  • Identify performance deficiencies or process gaps through root cause analysis; address these by providing timely coaching, creating development plans, and managing performance to ensure team success.
  • Monitor team productivity and ensure departmental goals are met.
  • Address teammate relations issues, escalating to the manager as necessary.
  • Manage staffing plans, recruitment, and retention of teammates.
  • Conduct annual Performance Development Reviews (PDRs) and manage disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain high engagement scores for the assigned team (>80%).

2. Special Projects and Project Management (25%)

  • Assess team resourcing to intake and assign projects, and resource allocation that ensure the most effective use of teammate talent.
  • Monitor team productivity and project status to ensure timelines and deliverables are met within a time-sensitive environment.
  • Maintain transparency of project progress by tracking timelines, milestones, and deliverables. regularly communicate status, risks, and dependencies to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead or actively participate in special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison between credits team and other departments.
  • Assist with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects to improve business efficiency.
  • Identify system and process improvement opportunities.

3. Process Improvements (10%)

  • Identify gaps between desired performance and actual performance, recommending appropriate interventions or process changes to eliminate performance gaps.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including process flows and technical specifications, to support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Serve as a liaison between teams to ensure business needs are met in an efficient and effective manner during process rollouts.

Qualifications

  • Experience: >2 years of related supervisory experience required.
  • Education: Must have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Skills: Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Proven track record of leading change or operations through influence.
  • Relevant experience in healthcare revenue cycle preferred.

The Salary Range for the role is $80,168.40 - $94,000.00/year. If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position. New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.63/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour
