Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking skilled and qualified candidates for our Business Systems Analyst position on the USPS TSS program. This position will be responsible for gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements and translating them into detailed technical requirements.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

    Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.
  • Participate in system design discussions, solution reviews, and architecture sessions.
  • Support development teams by clarifying requirements, validating technical approaches, and ensuring traceability throughout the SDLC.
  • Assist in troubleshooting, impact analysis, and rootcause investigations.
  • Work with cloud, middleware, and application teams to validate integrations and system behavior.
  • Create functional specifications, data flow diagrams, interface definitions, and process documentation.
  • Support testing teams by defining acceptance criteria and validating test results.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies-including daily standups-across multiple applications (SHIP, WebMODs, IMVIS), coordinating development activities and resolving blockers.
  • Own and maintain product backlogs in VersionOne, translating business requirements into actionable user stories and supporting development teams through the full SDLC.
  • Analyze and report on data sourced from AWS, developing operational and analytical reports to support business and technical decisionmaking.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive system architecture diagrams, technical design documents, SOPs, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for multienvironment applications.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder (Must have resided in the U.S. the past five years with no more than six months outside travel of the U.S. during this timeframe)
  • Experience translating business needs into precise technical requirements.
  • Handson background working with Java technologies and enterprise application stacks.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and supporting multiple concurrent applications.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Experience with programming - Java, C, C++, PLSQL
  • Experience with Java Technologies: Core Java, JDBC, EJB, JSP, XML, SOAP, RESTFul Spring, Spring BOO, Hibernate
  • Experience with Markup/Script Languages: XML, JSON, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, TYpescript, jQuerey, AngularJS, Angula, ReactJs
  • Experience with Web/Application Servers: Apache,Tomcat, JBOss, WebLogic, Web Sphere, WildFly, RDBMS: Oracle, MySQL

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
