What You'll Be Doing

• Enforce compliance of security protocols, policies and procedures to ensure the physical safety of all property and assets owned by Maritz, with strong focus on the overall safety and security of all individuals on Maritz' campuses

• Assist Director of Security Services to supervise, train, schedule, and day-to-day operations of 15 + contracted security guards/officers who oversee daily security operations, including CCTV, alarms, access control, and physical security who ensure the protection of Maritz' facilities. Back up supervisor, when Dir Security is unavailable.

• As directed by the Director Security Services, oversee special investigations involving security related issues on campus and as needed act as a liaison with appropriate government agencies, including local law enforcement.

• Prepare reports for management on security status, incidents, and improvements.

• Assist in providing security and transportation for the Chairman and his immediate family, Board of Directors, and other individuals as requested by the Maritz executive team.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field or Police Academy Experience required or equivalent work experience.

• Must currently have or maintain the ability to acquire a Class E (Chauffeur) driver's license.

• Available to work on a varied schedule as needed. Primarily working a first shift but need to be available on weekends and 2nd and 3rd shifts on occasion. Ability to be flexible in scheduling.

• Professional communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, multitasking, organization required including experience working with senior leadership.

• Must be legally eligible to possess a firearm and able to obtain and maintain any required state or local concealed carry permit as a condition of employment.

• Ability to obtain and meet requirements for Metro Security License.

Nice To Have

• 4+ years experience in a Security Services Position preferred including exposure to a corporate environment

• Experience supervising security personnel preferred

• Knowledge of physical security principles, security technologies, and corporate security best practices preferred.
