We are seeking one highly skilled CNC Machinist / CNC Programmer with strong manual machining experience to support prototype development, advanced manufacturing projects, and complex part production within a cutting-edge R&D setting.

Hours & Pay

Pay Range: $27.30 - $37.25 per hour

What You'll Do



  • Plan machining operations by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, orthographic drawings, and machining parameters
  • Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards
  • Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code for 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers
  • Program and operate CNC mills and lathes, as well as manual mills, manual lathes, and saws
  • Enter instructions including zero/reference points, tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches
  • Calculate speeds, feeds, and material requirements using geometry and trigonometry
  • Design and fixture complex setups for both CNC and manual machining operations
  • Prove part programs and verify accuracy through first-run inspections and sample measurements
  • Perform drilling, grooving, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations
  • Troubleshoot machining processes, detect malfunctions, adjust controls, and reprogram as needed
  • Maintain tooling by sharpening and replacing worn tools
  • Utilize precision measurement equipment to validate parts to print and special requirements
  • Manage stock inventory, anticipate material needs, and verify incoming materials
  • Perform preventive maintenance and follow manufacturer instructions to maintain equipment performance
  • Adhere to all quality assurance procedures and safety regulations
  • Create and compile documentation to support machine setup and programming processes



What You Bring



  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience writing CNC programs in a machining environment
  • Demonstrated expertise with CNC programming, CNC setup, and manual machining
  • Proficiency in CAD and CAM software; experience with CATIA preferred (Mastercam or GibbsCAM acceptable)
  • Strong working knowledge of G-code and CNC machining centers
  • Experience with Vericut and writing post processors is a plus
  • Advanced understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
  • Ability to select tooling for specific machining applications
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, crouch, stand, walk, reach, and operate equipment throughout the shift
  • Valid ability to drive as required
