Estimated annual base pay: $23.08 (min)- $30.29 (mid)- $37.02 (max)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an Engineering Dev Tech Mechanical I, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Assembly: Perform assembly tasks under supervision using established procedures. May assist in modifications or repairs to components and systems.

  • Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Identify straightforward issues with components or systems and report them. Assist senior team members in implementing solutions.

  • Testing and Analysis: Set up and execute basic component or systems tests following instructions. Record test results and report findings to senior technicians or engineers.

  • Process Improvement: Provide input on minor improvements to tools or processes based on observations during daily tasks. Learn and follow established process documentation.

  • Team Leadership: No direct leadership responsibilities. Focus is on learning and developing skills under supervision.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Schematics and Drawings: Basic ability to read and interpret simple schematics and drawings with supervision. Familiarity with basic mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Developing knowledge of assembly and testing processes and geometric tolerancing.

  • Application and Field Use Knowledge: Introductory knowledge of deployed systems and component operation. Follows established assembly and testing methodologies with supervision.

  • Communication: Basic written and verbal communication skills. Able to document findings and communicate results to peers and supervisors. Limited exposure to customer interactions.

  • Team Leadership: No leadership responsibilities. Focus is on learning and contributing to team tasks.

  • Process Improvement: Identifies minor inefficiencies and suggests simple improvements within established processes.

  • Problem Solving: Assists with problem-solving tasks under supervision. Uses basic techniques to troubleshoot and isolate faults with guidance.

  • Assembly: Follows established procedures to assemble components and systems. Not responsible for developments of new methods.

  • Devices and Tools Used: Familiarity with basic mechanical, electrical, or software measurement devices. Learns to use tools and equipment under supervision.

  • Principles & Data Review: Developing understanding of mechanical principles and their application in simple systems. Assists with basic testing and data collection tasks.

  • Testing: Executes simple test procedures under supervision. Limited responsibility for test planning or strategy development.

Successful candidates typically have:

  • High School Diploma, or GED Equivalent

  • 1+ years of Mechanical Aptitude

  • 1+ years of supporting the machining role
