OVERVIEW

The purpose of the Human Resources Coordinator is to serve as a resource on Human Resource related issues for the Richmond Manufacturing Site in accordance with Federal and State law and all applicable Company policies and procedures while also supporting the Human Resource Manager in day-to-day functions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Safety

  • Compliance: Supporting policies and procedures ensures compliance with legal and company requirements, indirectly contributing to a safe work environment.
  • Data Accuracy: Maintaining accurate employee data is crucial for effective safety management and emergency response.
  • Leave Administration: Properly administering FMLA, disability, and leaves of absence helps ensure employee well-being and a safe return to work.

People Leadership

  • Hiring Process: Facilitating and supporting local hiring processes, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Employee Relations: Providing day-to-day HR customer service, resolving questions and issues.
  • Leave Management: Administering and leading FMLA, disability, and leaves of absence cases.

Process Leadership and Ownership

  • Payroll Processing: Acting as the power user and point of contact for Kronos and Checkpoint payroll systems.
  • Compensation Administration: Processing and administering annual compensation changes, non-standard payments, and employee rewards.
  • HR Process Improvement: Providing leadership for HR process improvements, recommending new approaches and procedures.

Know Your Operation, Data, and Technology

  • Payroll Systems: Expertise in Kronos and Checkpoint payroll systems.
  • Data Management: Maintaining employee personnel files and documentation, ensuring compliance with Global Internal Audit standards.
  • Data Analysis: Evaluating reports, decisions, and results of the HR department in relation to established goals.

Back-up Coverage

  • HR Support: Providing support to the Plant HR Team.
  • Other Duties: Performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
  • Flexibility: Supporting various HR functions, demonstrating adaptability and willingness to assist in multiple areas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year of related experience
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to influence stakeholders
  • Ability to create and lead strategic initiatives

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of experience

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.

Salary Range



The salary range for this position is $56700.00 - $78100.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
